ÉchoLocal

For communes

Local life, visible and up to date — nothing for the commune to manage

Écho Local brings together what businesses, craftsmen, local societies and the commune itself publish, updated every day by the people who make village life. The commune gains a channel to its residents, without burden or cost.

What the commune gains

Your news, relayed

Title, lead and link to your official website, with a “Commune” badge. Never the full text, never altered, nothing to type on your side.

A channel to residents

In the morning brief, your notices and disruptions reach those who subscribed — beside local life, not in a silo.

Local life in one place

Businesses, craftsmen and societies, up to date, in one app in the commune’s colours: what a communal website cannot keep up alone.

No burden, no risk

The platform is run by its team, not by the commune, which moderates nothing, hosts nothing, pays nothing, and can leave at any time.

How your information gets there

  1. 1

You publish where you already publish

On your communal website, as today. Nothing changes in your habits.

  2. 2

    Écho Local relays

Every hour, new items appear in the app with the “Commune” badge and link back to your site.

  3. 3

    Residents receive them

In the morning brief and on the home, when they are useful: disruptions before leaving, events in the evening.

The agenda: the coming days’ events, with “Add to calendar”

And for your local societies

Societies are half of a commune’s life. Écho Local is free for them, with tools made for a volunteer committee.

  • A poster becomes an event

The committee e-mails a photo of the poster; the app reads the date, venue and price and prepares the event.

  • A season in one e-mail

Twelve fixtures pasted into a message: twelve events, one per date, published in one click.

  • We need people

A call for volunteers on the home, with a “Count me in” button that opens an e-mail to the committee.

  • The report, the next day

How many saw the event, how many added it to their calendar — and an invitation to share photos.

Questions we are asked

Who runs the platform?
Its team, a local company. The commune has no administration or moderation role: each listing is kept by its owner, and the platform’s administration checks the organisation exists before approving it.
What does it cost the commune?
Nothing. Presence is free for every business and society; the paid plans are for merchants who want to publish more. No contribution is asked of the commune.
And residents’ data?
No account, no personal data to use the app: you follow a business or subscribe to the brief without e-mail or password. No third-party ads, no trackers.
Can the commune leave?
At any time, with a simple message: the relay of official news stops. The listings of businesses and societies belong to them and remain theirs.
And neighbouring communes?
Each commune has its own Écho Local, colours and content. A commune may include its neighbours in its digests; nothing crosses from one to another without an explicit decision.
How do we start?
A half-hour meeting, the address of your website’s “News” page, and it is in place. The rest — businesses, societies, residents — happens on the ground, with you if you wish.
